Updated shareholder policy and priorities for 2026
Gildi has published an updated shareholder policy for the fund. The update takes into account, among other things, the fund's practice in recent years and is intended to provide further clarification of the fund's priorities, such as regarding remuneration policies, performance-related payments and involvement in the selection of board members at listed companies. The shareholder policy is intended to set out the fund's priorities as a long-term investor and to create transparency and greater predictability regarding how Gildi acts as a shareholder.
Priorities for the coming year
As stated in the fund's report on the implementation of its shareholder policy, Gildi will in 2026 place emphasis on the following key priorities in its dealings with listed companies:
Clearer and more transparent remuneration policies
Gildi places emphasis on remuneration policies being transparent and based on clear performance metrics in cases where variable remuneration is used. Variable remuneration should be reasonable, justified and linked to the results that executives can actually influence in their roles.
More open dialogue with nomination committees
The fund encourages nomination committees to hold regular dialogue with the largest shareholders and to provide clearer insight into and justification for how their proposals on board composition reflect companies' needs and future strategy.
